Gingerbread Granola (Vegan and Gluten Free)

Gingerbread Granola.  I know that Thanksgiving has not officially happened yet, but let’s move on to some Christmas food!  One of the first flavors I think of is gingerbread.  I bring you, Gingerbread Granola.

The stores don’t waste any time pushing the holidays out.  I think that I saw the Christmas decorations coming out at Target the day after Halloween.

This granola is so good.  Even as I type, I am munching it. 🙂 This dish would be a great thing to serve on Christmas morning.

My whole house smells like a Yankee Candle now, bringing back memories.  It’s funny how just a smell or a song can transplant you back in time.

What foods remind you of Christmas?

  1. This looks SO good! I look forward to the holidays, just so I can eat as much gingerbread and pumpkin goodies as possible! I'll definitely be making this soon! By the way, I just stumbled upon your blog and I have enjoyed reading through your posts and recipes!
    1. I am the same as you! I have been cooking up all kinds of pumpkin concoctions. I will probably do more seeing as though we just cut up the girls huge pumpkin from Halloween. I am glad you are enjoying my blog. I will check yours out as well. :)
  2. This was really good and simple! Didn't have maple syrup and just swapped it for the last tbsp of honey and it was still just great. House smells great too! Thanks!
  3. My husband and I love your gingerbread granola recipe! Since ditching the processed breakfast cereals, I have been keeping a regular supply of your granola in the house. My daughter has a severe nut allergy so I use a seed mix in place of the almonds in this recipe. Delicious! :)
  4. Thanks for such a yummy recipe! My daughter made this for breakfast today and we all enjoyed it. How long can you keep the leftover granola in the fridge?
  5. My whole family and I are going to be starting a non processed food kinda diet . I love your blog I have made so much already. One thing what brand of molasses and syrup do you use?
    1. Thank you! I am happy to hear you like the blog. :) I get Blackstrp molasses. I can't recall the exact brand, but it's definitely the blackstrap.
  6. You know how I feel about your recipes, love them! I especially look forward to making each one of your granola recipes, this being my latest attempt. I think I'll make this one with a little less ginger powder and little more maple syrup next time, only becuse I felt this was a little over powering in ginger taste and not sweet enough for me. I hope you don't mind Mellissa, any suggestion?
    1. That would be fine to do. I added a good amount of ginger because a lot of gingerbread recipes call for a lot of ginger. It would still be fine if you cut the ginger down a bit. :)
      1. So an update on the granola 3 days later: the ginger is not as strong + it seemed to mellow out a little bit!-crazy isn't it? I will leave the recipe as is since it's delicious (: Thanks for your reply.
    1. You can omit it and add more maple syrup, but it will taste much different. Molasses is a key ingredient in gingerbread recipes.
  7. On a bunch of your recipes, there is a box instead of a numerical measurement before an ingredient. I'd love to make these, but I'll have to guess how much almond and how much maple syrup to use.
    1. Really? I just converted to a new recipe plug in. Are you looking on a phone, or computer? What operating system do you have? Everything looks fine on my phone and my Macbook.
  8. Hello I'am Braziianl. I don't understand English. What is- 3 T unsweetened applesauce?) = apple juice ? - Google tradutor =(3 T maçã sem açúcar ) thanks! Vivi
      1. Hello Melissa Thank you for your answer ( =(Muito obrigada por sua resposta) I was very happy (= Fiquei muito feliz). Hugs (= abraços) Vivi
