Why You Will Never Need a Plastic Bag Again

Can you believe that August is almost over?  My daughter starts school on the 24th.  She will be going to kindergarten. Eek!  At the start of the school year, you can start packing lunches in re-usable containers to reduce your carbon footprint.  You can also provide your child with healthy lunch options!

MightyNest

The beginning of the school year represents a clean slate for your family: a way to start fresh. This year you can pack waste-free lunches. The average kid’s school lunch creates 67 lbs of waste a year! It requires a lot of resources to get rid of that trash—that’s work and $ on the school, the community, and the planet. The average-sized family goes through 500 plastic baggies a year just for packing lunch. Crazy right?

I have to tell you about an awesome service from MightyNest.  MightyNest has a brilliant solution for reducing waste and saving money.

  1. I love Mighty Nest! I already have the lunch and snack Lunchskins and they are great! You can even put them on the top shelf of the dishwasher. I send them with my husband in his lunch so they aren't just for kids, either. I hope people take advantage of the great opportunity here, they won't be sorry!
    1. I agree MightyNest is great and so are the lunchskins. We have had them for a few years and they have held up great.
  2. I've totally been looking for an alternative to plastic wrap and sandwich bags. Thanks so much. I'm checking them out now. Sabrina http://www.keystothegenuinelife.com
