Shelf Reliance Giveaway

I am excited to announce another giveaway!  If you live in an area prone to natural disasters, these products are for you.  Shelf Reliance specializes in long term food storage.  They harvest fruits and vegetables at their peak and then freeze dry them for long term storage.  There are no preservatives added at all.  You can eat them as a snack just as they are, or hydrate them and use for cooking just as if you would with fresh produce.  The food is stored in double insulated cans so it can be stored for long periods of time.  It would be great for camping too.

I grew up in New England where we had a lot of snow and ice.  Last year, my parents lost power for a week and all their food went bad.  It would have been great if they had some of these freeze dried options.  I got to try a few of Shelf Reliance’s products and I can tell you they taste great.  My daughter was munching on the cauliflower just as is out of the can.  They are real easy to re hydrate too.

You will get personalized service with Carol at Shelf Reliance.  To learn more about them, please check out the website.  Click here for the link.

Carol, from Shelf Reliance is also offering 1 can of either a fruit or veggie to one lucky winner of this giveaway.  To enter, please go “like” her Facebook page, and leave a comment under this blog post.  The winner will be picked Feb 5.  Good Luck!

  1. Liked her on facebook! Love your blog :) I absolutely love your ideas but would love to hear your ideas on hair care products and cleaning products!
    1. We are still trying to find good cleaning products, but for hair care I like Desert Essence Shampoo and Conditioner. I use Aubrey de tangler and coconut oil for lotion. Coconut oil also works great for giving your hair a bit of shine!
  2. As a mom of 4 - 6yr old, 4yr old, 3 yr old and 1yr old we live in Nj and after the hurricane it would've been nice to have this on our shelf! Should I b concerned they are in cans? Bht?
  3. In the last few years, I have had to empty my freezer twice. Once for a hurricane and once for remodeling (the contractor did not reset the breaker). Love finding more ways to preserve the fresh food we grew and not have a house full of glass with two small children.
  4. This is awesome to see so many people take an interest in Shelf Reliance THRIVE Foods! I wanted to address one concern that someone had....about BHT...Our cans are double insulated, and coated with enamel both inside and outside...so that naughty chemical can't get thru! Please feel free to send me a message if you have ANY questions about our products....we eat/use them almost everyday! As I type, someone is rattling around in my can of blueberries......On a side note, for those that may be interested in earning our products for free and for half off---I'm always looking for people to host 'parties'.....and those catalog/virtual parties DO COUNT! Contact me for more details. Happy website browsing.
  5. I tried to "like" her Facebook via the link posted in this article and, I looked numerous times, but there is no buttom to "like" her page somehow?... I have never seen that unless it was a personal page with the friend request option but it doesn't show that either..
