Superfood Chocolate Bark - My Whole Food Life

This would be a great dessert for holiday parties.  It’s very easy to make too.  My kids helped me sprinkle the toppings on.  They helped me eat it too. 🙂

As you can see we sometimes stay in our pajamas for baking. 🙂  They loved helping and taste testing.   My older daughter has developed her father’s love for chocolate.

  1. This looks to be like a perfect treat for the holidays. I have been looking for healthier treats to make rather than adding to the over abundance of sweets that everyone seems to be have during this time of year.
  2. Ooh thanks for a yummy (and healthier) bark recipe. Will add this to my list of Christmas goodies!! BtW. Your little helpers are adorable!!
  3. Mmmmm … I love to make chocolate bark - and I love the additions of pistachios and berries! So very festive!! I may just need to switch up my recipe this year! And that chocolate smile is so sweet and makes my heart happy! Love how kids really get into their treats! :) Happy Holidays!
  4. Oh my, looks amazing! I had exactly the same idea this season to make dark chocolate bark with goji berries and pistachios. Haha. I don't know if I get there this year.:) Your life sounds very similar to mine. I bet you clean a lot LOL
      1. I made this yesterday (the kids loved being able to help add the toppings!), and I didn't have the goji berries. We used dried cranberries, and they came out great...added a nice texture to every bite!
    1. I'm going to try with dry roasted pumpkin and sesame seeds. And dried cherries in place of goji berries since I'm out of them.
  5. How long do you think this would last? I'd like to make this for stockings, but this weekend is the only time I could make it as a surprise. Would I just store it in the freezer for a while to increase shelf life?
    1. Storing it in the freezer would be great to do if you intend to keep it a few weeks. Just make sure the bark is in an airtight container so it doesn't get freezer burned.
