German Chocolate Overnight Oats

A healthy breakfast that tastes like dessert!


  • 1/2 cup gluten free steel cut oats or rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup almond milk (or milk of choice)
  • 1 T chopped pecans
  • 1 T shredded unsweetened coconut
  • 2 chopped medjool dates
  • 2 tsp chia seeds
  • 2 tsp cacao powder


  1. Mix all the ingredients in a jar. Cover and place in the fridge overnight. This recipe is written for 1 serving, but you can make up to 5 of them at a time.


Recipe Notes

If you like a smoother oatmeal, use rolled oats. If you prefer a crunch, use steel cut oats. These can be eaten hot or cold. I prefer mine cold. Enjoy!
