Sweet and sour sauce was one of those things I thought I had to give up on a whole food diet. I can’t even imagine how much sugar is actually in the store bought sweet and sour sauces. So I had to try making a homemade sweet and sour sauce recipe. Well actually, my husband came up with this sweet and sour sauce recipe and I was quite impressed!
Vegan Alfredo Zucchini Pasta. I know I have said on more than one occasion how much I love my spiralizer.
I love being about to make low carb versions of pasta dishes. My kids also love their carrot ribbons. Something about the shape of a veggie makes it more appealing?
At least with my kiddos. I have already come up with my Avocado Pesto Zucchini Pasta and this Alfredo Zucchini Pasta is my latest creation.
This is not only low carb, but gluten free, dairy free and vegan as well!
When I went vegan, I thought grilled cheese was out of my reach. Of course I could use one of the commercially made vegan cheeses on the market, but I don’t think their ingredients are ideal. So I was left to create a vegan grilled cheese from whole food ingredients. We have been using our dairy free cheese sauce in many recipes lately, so I thought I would test it out by making this vegan grilled cheese. It’s not only good, but the caramelized onions boost it into awesomeness.
I love veggie burgers. Who doesn’t right? Well store bought veggie burgers don’t cut it for me. The rubbery texture and unidentifiable ingredients in store bought veggie burgers are enough to turn me off. You can get so much more flavor and texture from homemade veggie burgers. These sweet potato black bean burgers are a spin off my Sweet Potato Veggie Burgers. If you have made those burgers, you will love these too!
We are all busy. I don’t know about you, but when it comes to dinner ideas, I like to keep things at the quick and easy level. So here is a collection of healthy meals made in under 30 minutes.
Okay, so I know I am late with the black eyed pea dish, but better late than never. Here are some Super Easy Black Eyed Peas for you. I know traditionally black eyed peas are eaten on New Years Day for good luck. In fact, we did eat this dish on New Years Day. I just never anticipated it would be good enough to blog about. It was awesome.
In fact, we may eat this next New Years Day as well. You should too. It’s yummy! This is another one of my husband’s creations. He also has come up with Acorn Stuffed Squash with Wild Rice and Peanut Noodle Stir Fry.
