Green Melody Veggie Wash

Disclaimer: This post has been sponsored by Green Melody Veggie Wash, but all opinions are my own.  Thank you for supporting the brands I love.

I don’t know about you, but we love all the summer fruits and vegetables.  I think we go through several bags of cherries a week.  Those are a big hit here.  However, we can’t always afford to buy organic produce.  That is why I love this Green Melody Veggie Wash. Pesticide residue on fruits and vegetables can propose a huge health risk.  To read more about that, you can read the Environmental Working Group’s 2016 report.

Green Melody Veggie Wash is the first ever mineral based fruit and veggie wash on the market.

This Green Melody Veggie Wash is all natural and food safe because it is made from mineral salts.  It effectively removes pesticides, waxes, bacteria and pathogens.  Green Melody Veggie Wash is 400% more efficient than using water alone.  I tried it and it was super easy!

The team behind Green Melody are a group of experienced scientist (PhDs) from research institutes like University of Washington and University of British Columbia. They have done a lot of R&D to make sure Green Melody meets the strictest safety standards and has the best performances.

After using the product, the fruit definitely looked and tasted cleaner. One big advantage to using a mineral ingredients is that they are water soluble, so a quick rinse washes away everything to make them safer. One bottle of Green Melody Veggie Wash is enough for 90 uses and can last 3 months if used on a daily basis!

  1. I've been wanting to try a fruit and veggie wash, but I didn't know which brand to try. Grateful to have a recommendation. Thanks!
  2. Interesting, thank you for your review. Do you think this product works better than vinegar. Vinegar seems to be more affordable, so I'd be interested to see the science of the residue removed by both. I.e. Is one better over the other. I'm a little leery to purchase this product if vinegar will do just as good of a job.
    1. Most vinegar is derived from corn and can be GMO. That's why I really like this option. It's also odorless and leaves no trace of taste like vinegar can do.
    2. I asked the company about that and here is the answer they gave me. " It is a common misconception to use vinegar to wash produce. Vinegar is an anti-bacteria agent. It simply kills bacteria by becoming very acidic, and it requires much more than one teaspoon to work. However that makes cleaning other contaminants like pesticides and waxes more difficult, because many of them are also “acidic” and vinegar only makes them stabler and less likely to be washed off. For example, under pH 7 (neutral) the time it takes for half of malathion — a common organophosphate pesticide — to naturally break down is 6 days. When it gets more acidic (pH 5), the time increases exponentially to 107 days. That’s why when it comes to produce cleaning, higher pH or more basic is always better. It's difficult to visually test it but that's the science behind washing with vinegar."

  3. I love the Green Melody packaging! I find that vinegar works just fine, but I am always interested in new green friendly products to try. Did you mention the smell at all/? Is it completely odorless? I'm very particular to smells, and even though vinegar is not one of my favorites, a nice clean non-toxic smell would be a great bonus.
  4. This sounds like an interesting product. I will review the information on their website. Thank you for the introduction!
  5. This product would be great to try! We live in an area where not much organic produce is available, so this would help me feel better when the only choice of fresh produce is not organic.
  6. Is this available in stores or only online? I have always thought about using something to wash my produce better. Definitely interested in trying it.
    1. I am not sure about that. I know you can get it on Amazon and through their website, but I think they are still a small company trying to grow.
  7. I am starting to switch over myself and my family into a green living life. Its very difficult finding a chemical free or healthy version of a once used chemical or unhealthy food. It can be done thou! Since switching over we dont get sick much at all and everones happier and brighter. I am very excited to have the chance to be picked to win an all natural tool to clean our food, i never knew this existed! Dying to try!
  8. This looks very interesting; I too would love to know more about the science. Removal of all pesticides is a big statement. Can't wait to give it a try.
  9. I would be interested in trying this product for sure. It is expensive to buy organic, but I know it is best for my family. I would certainly give this a try.
