The topping possibilities are endless.  I think my cashew pizza cheese would be excellent on this.  If I had any left, I would have used it.  I decided to top mine with spinach and avocado.  Next time I am definitely using the cashew cheese sauce!  This crust is so great.  It’s super crispy just how I like it.  The original recipe called for roasting the garlic and sweet potato.  I boiled my sweet potatoes, so I just used minced garlic.  You can most certainly roast the garlic and sweet potatoes if you prefer.  I also think this would be great with tomato sauce.

  1. Preheat oven to 400.

Recipe Notes

If you choose to add my dairy free cashew cheese , I highly recommend adding it first and putting the veggie toppings on after. Enjoy!

  1. Awesome! Great minds think alike! I made a sweet potato crust pizza this weekend but didn't add any nooch. I don't think I used enough flour either, will have to try this recipe, it looks great!! Thanks for sharing!
  2. Any ideas if you could substitute something else for the oat flour and chickpea flour? I would like to make this for someone I know who has allergies to soy, tree nuts, oats, eggs, dairy, and chickpeas. I may have to do some experimenting.
    1. I was going to suggest almond flour, but with the nut allergy, that will not work. You can try coconut flour, but it can be fickle, so I am not sure it will work.
  3. Checking this out from seeing the link from Strength & Sunshine. Quinoa & cauliflower crust haven't worked out for me and didn't really sound super appealing anyway - this, on the other hand, sounds awesome! Can't wait to try this fun gluten-free crust out =)
  4. Omg!...so good! I think I just found my new pizza crust. Topped it with tomato sauce, tones of veggies and cashew nut cheese. Thank you! I feel like I'm eating a real pizza :)
    1. I haven't tried that, but I have made sweet potato pasta in my spiralizer https://mywholefoodlife.com/2015/01/19/sweet-potato-pasta-with-brussel-sprouts/
  5. I made the sweet potato pizza crust last night using white rice flour instead of the oat flour and brown rice flour in place of the chickpea flour and it turned out delicious! I'm so glad I didn't wait to get specific ingredients to make it. I can't wait to buy more sweet potatoes and have this again!!
  6. I love this! It's one of my favourite recipes now. I like to add the toppings about 10 minutes before the base is cooked, so it's more like a regular pizza. The other day I used butternut instead of sweet potato. It was pretty good too, but sweeter.
