Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Donuts (Vegan)

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Donuts that are vegan and gluten free! Who says you can’t have donuts on a whole food diet?  Not me!  I just make them healthier.

UPDATE: This recipe originally appeared on my blog back in 2013.  I had t remove it for 3 years because it went into my first cookbook.  Well, those 3 years are up, so I’m bringing it back to the blog! Yay!

Most donuts are laden with saturated fat, processed sugars and flours.  Not these!  These are baked, not fried and made with whole grains.  Even your kids will love them.

This is my baby who eats most of her food through a tube.  Even she was scarfing these down. These would go great with a glass of my Homemade Almond Milk.

  1. I substituted organic honey with the maple syrup so less sugar. And used white chocolate chips and dark chocolate chips and added 1 ripe mashed banana and 1 tbsp of cinnamon. The banana added some more flavor and made them a bit more moist and the cinnamon made them yummier =D also I do not have a donut pan either so I just rolled out balls by hand (used flour so no sticking to hands) and made holes in the middle when placing on a greased baking sheet worked great =D
