Copycat Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs

These copycat Reese’s peanut butter eggs are not only easy, they are vegan, gluten free and grain free.  If you choose to use my 3 ingredient chocolate instead of the chocolate chips and milk, they would end up being pretty low carb as well.

I put the peanut butter in the title in quotations because I actually used almond butter for my batch.  You can use any nut butter or even sunflower butter as well.

If you store these in the fridge, they will become slightly soft. I suggest storing them in the freezer.

    1. Just made these with my 4 and 6 year old and we all loved them! Given that the little ones were doing the dipping, things took a little long and we started having trouble with the chocolate and it would cover the eggs well. Just added a little more milk and heat and we were back to proper dipping. Thanks for the great recipe - I love teaching my kids to love treats that do not come from a candy wrapper with who knows what inside them :)
    2. Made these with you're chocolate recipe using cacao and gosh they are so good. The peanut butter and coconut flour were perfect! Thanks :)
    3. Thanks for these!! I have been craving peanut butter eggs, which are out because of my son's peanut allergy, so thanks for this option! I added some coconut oil to the chocolate which helped in the coating process. Next challenge, "peanut butter" pie- should you choose to accept!!!
      1. Hahaha! I have been thinking about doing a peanut butter pie! I promise it will happen. :) Glad you like this recipe!
      1. It's just a cooking method. Just fill a pot with water and boil it. Then place a glass bowl in top of the boiling pot. You put the chocolate in the glass bowl. It's just a way of cooking the chocolate without burning it.
    4. Yum, these look great. Hubby's side of the family always made these (using regular ingredients, pb/powdered sugar/chocolate) eveyr Easter. I'm going to try making these with my 4 kiddos.Going to sub in almond flour since that is what I have. Thanks
    5. Oh Boy! These are awesome! BTW - I melted the chocolate with a tsp of coconut oil instead of almond milk. Worked great. Nice shell outside of the perfect peanut butter center! You're amazing Melissa!
    6. These look so delicious and easy! The peanut butter filling is exactly how I make my peanut butter frosting for my rice crispy treats. I love using coconut flour for my raw treats. I need to make these stat :)
    7. OUt of curiosity…why do you mix the ingredients in a food processor? Could you just use a spoon or kitchen aid mixer?
